Kimmy Piazza, LPC
Kimmy enjoys working with individuals across the lifespan and values the opportunity to support each person through their unique experiences and challenges. She has experience working with individuals experiencing PTSD, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and alcohol and other drug use (AODA). Kimmy takes an eclectic approach to counseling, drawing from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and person-centered therapy.
At the heart of Kimmy’s approach is the belief that everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and accepted for who they are. She believes in meeting each individual where they are and building a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in genuineness, unconditional positive regard, and empathy. Kimmy strives to create a safe and supportive space. She is passionate about empowering individuals to improve their quality of life, build confidence and autonomy, and recognize their ability to reach their full potential.
In her free time, Kimmy enjoys doing anything outdoors, including hunting, fishing, kayaking, hiking, snowmobiling, and paddleboarding. She also enjoys going to the gym and practicing yoga. When she’s not outside, you can usually find her relaxing at home and cuddling with her kitties, Pistachio and Hazelnut.
